Our Director

Karen is very excited to have the opportunity to join with Nate Presents and Actor’s Ensemble of Berkeley to present Jean-Paul Sartre’s No Exit.
Karen comes to AEB with credits from the Bay Area and the Central Valley, in a variety of roles from acting, scenic artistry, stage management and directing, in over 70 productions. Highlights from her theatre career include: Twelfth Night (Director), Taming of the Shrew (Kate), Othello (Desdemona), Hedda Gabler (Thea Elvsted) and credits in Stage Management & Scene Design for Ain’t Misbehavin’, La Traviata, Big River, Gypsy, West Side Story, and A Christmas Carol. Most recently known for her work with the ICDT! Children’s Musical Theatre program since 2022, directing Oklahoma!, Music Man, 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, and Aristocats!.
Karen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama from California State University,Stanislaus and works full time as a Senior Manager for the UFCW & Employers Trust Fund Office. She lives in Concord, California with her husband.
